Our benevolent orange potentate truly is a complete and utter embarrassment to the people of America. Well, not to everyone. Sure, there will always be sheepish conservative sycophants who will vote “R” regardless of which empty suit is on the ballot box.

But for most Americans, we’re fed up.

This wanna-be dictator is by far the goofiest, most ineloquent buffoon I’ve ever had the displeasure of witnessing. It is certainly true that for each passing day he remains in office, a greater stain is left on this country.

He is not only imbecilic with his rhetoric, but he is also an immoral ape with regards to his policies, several of which I will critique below.

Add to this the disgusting amalgamation of lies to which he indulges in on a constant basis and it should be obvious to everyone in this country and in the world that we have a very serious problem here.

In fact, Donald Trump has made 18,000 false claims in 1,170 days and many of his lies can be easily fact checked by visiting PolitiFact. With this in mind it should be clear that Trump is the quintessence of all that is wrong with America.

But what about all the good Trump does?

What about his most prized and celebrated idea: The Wall?

It was reported that on January 8, 2019—the 18th day of a partial government shutdown that began over border wall funding—President Donald Trump called on Congress to allocate $5.7 billion to build a wall or steel barrier on the southern border to protect the nation.

On February 15, 2019, Trump signed a $328 billion spending bill that included $1.375 billion in funding for barriers on the southern border. He had requested $5.7 billion in wall funding. Because he did not get the amount requested, he declared a state of emergency on the southern border and directed $8.1 billion to build a border wall.

In lieu of emotional appeals and conservative lies, the reality here is that the border is not the main problem with regards to illegal immigration. Although there are indeed a plethora of people who will believe anything Daddy Trump tells them, the truth is that America’s illegal immigration problem is largely due to Visa overstays, not border crossings.

What a colossal waste of money $5.7 billion dollars would be. Think of how much good that money could do for the poor and the homeless. However, unfortunately for them, conservatives tend to contemptuously see the poor and the homeless as nothing more than lazy opportunists who’s misery is their own doing.

Furthermore, it should also be recognized how stupid and archaic the idea of a border wall even is. It is literally just a wall. A tall narrow barrier that can easily be traversed, whether that be by climbing over it, digging tunnels under it, going around it (via rivers or mountainous terrain), or merely by going through it.

What sort of asinine mammal would have the delusional hubris to support such a complete and utter waste of resources?

Unsurprising to most, Trump has also shown a proclivity to be anti LGBTQ. It’s been recorded that on March 23, 2018, President Donald Trump issued a memorandum preventing most transgender individuals from serving in the military. The memorandum stated that “transgender persons with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria — individuals who the policies state may require substantial medical treatment, including medications and surgery — are disqualified from military service except under certain limited circumstances.

There’s really no exposition needed as to how unreasonable, nonsensical, and immoral his stance on this issue truly is as it seems to speak for itself.

Trump has put forth policies which undermine climate change, he has reduced federal funding for health care providers that perform abortions, and has stated that rebuilding the military was one of his main priorities as commander-in-chief.

Trump truly is the antithesis of what we need as a leader in this country. So many of his policies hinder the lives of Americans, even those of his own base. However, his base is likely too insouciant and sycophantic to even realize this.

Add to this how Trump has mishandled the current pandemic by firing members of his pandemic response team and cutting funding for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as well as threatening to use the military on protesters after the horrifying murder of George Floyd, and it should be crystal clear to everyone living in America that we desperately need a new commander in chief as soon as feasibly possible.
